Q + A

What time does the ceremony start?

The ceremony starts at 2pm, but we recommend guests arrive from 1:30pm.

Do I need to book accommodation?

The venue is a 16th century barn (with heating, don't worry!), that does not have onsite accommodation. With that in mind, we are recommending that guests book a room at the Stratton House Hotel and Spa in nearby Cirencester. There are enough rooms in the hotel for our entire guest list, but we do not have exclusive use of the hotel, so please book as early as you can. If you are in the bridal party or groom party, you do not need to book a room, we will organise your accommodation.

Which dates should I book accommodation for?

If you fancy it then please do come to the Cotswolds on the Friday evening (15th) as we will be putting on some drinks in the hotel bar from 7:30pm - 9:30pm to kick off the festivities. We are conscious that the additional night is an additional cost for our guests, so please do feel free to book the hotel for Saturday night only, but please note check-in is at 3pm, so you may not be able to check in to your room before the ceremony, which starts at 2pm.

Can I book accommodation elsewhere from Stratton House?

You are more than welcome to do this, and we have listed some alternative options on the accommodation page of this website. You are welcome to make your way to Stratton House Hotel to catch the coach to the venue, or you may find it easier to book a taxi to take you directly from your hotel, we have listed a selection of local taxi firms in the travel section in case this is handy.

How do I get to the venue?

We will be organising a coach that will take guests from Stratton House Hotel to the wedding venue at 1:30pm on the Saturday. Please let us know when you RSVP if you would like to hop on as that will help us ensure we have enough seats for everyone. We will also put on a smaller coach for those staying at Bibury Barns which will take you to the wedding venue and will depart at 1:40pm. For those wishing to get a taxi, please see the travel & accommodation of this website for a selection of local companies, we highly recommend booking in advance. If you would prefer to drive then there is a large car park at the venue.

How will I get home from the wedding venue?

To ensure that everyone can let their hair down and get home swiftly & safely, we will be putting on a shuttle service going from the venue to Stratton House Hotel and Bibury Barns. The shuttles will start from 9:30pm and finish at 1:15 am. Please also feel free to book a taxi in advance if you fancy.

Can I leave my car at the venue overnight?

Yes you can - though the venue requests that it be collected by 10am the next Sunday morning.

What time does the wedding finish?

We can party until 1am, and we all need to be off site by 1:30am. That said, you are welcome to leave at any time during the day. For those staying at the Stratton House Hotel, the shuttle service from the wedding venue to the hotel will start from around 9:30 pm.

Are children allowed at the wedding?

As much as we love your little ones, we want our wedding to be a party where people can let their hair down, enjoy the array of alcoholic beverages, and boogie the night away. So the only child that will be allowed in is your inner child.

Is there a wedding registry?

Your presence is our present! However if you do fancy it then a contribution to our Honeymoon fund would be very gratefully received! You can make a donation in the registry section of this website.
